Pair production and conservation of pressure
RSI holds that every forced twist of the medium must create an equal opposite twist, which is why particles arise in pairs.
Classical electromagnetism has a property called U(1) gauge symmetry, which standard physics treats as a basic law. RSI holds that it is not fundamental. It is an emergent, low-energy result of the conservation of pressure within a continuous fluid.
The strain of creating a matter-knot must be resolved locally and at once. Twist a closed elastic band and it forms a figure eight, with two loops of opposite handedness. In the same way, RSI holds that forcing an inversion of the Eternal Consonance must create a negative twist and an equal positive anti-twist together.
The theory calls this topological requirement the mechanical engine of pair production, the creation of a particle with its antiparticle. Once formed, the two vortices can move apart. They no longer share a boundary, but their opposite wakes keep adjusting the overall tension of the closed universal manifold. The Global Toroidal Circuit thereby preserves the conservation of pressure on the largest scale. Why the universe nonetheless ended up made of matter is the subject of the next explanation, on why antimatter does not survive the Exhale.
